Odisha Anganwadi workers to get mobile phones

Berhampur, Jan 24: Mobile phones will be distributed to all the Anganwadi workers in Odisha for timely dissemination of information. Women and Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu announced this on Sunday addressing a meeting of All Odisha Anganwadi Workers and Helpers’ Association here in Ganjam district. “To strengthen the working style of the Anganwadi workers and to deliver government information timely, the state government will provide mobile phones to them free of cost,” the minister said. Each Anganwadi centre will also be provided a weighing machine to check the weight of children. Berhampur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu and MLA Bikram Panda were also present in the meeting.
