As per reports, the Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) has identified four acres of land for the golf course, which could possibly be ready by the end of this month.

It will be the second facility of its kind in Odisha, following the one in Bhubaneswar’s Chandrasekharpur locality.

Reports stated that a team of experts had examined the suitability of sand and clay. After the tests showed favorable results, the construction work of the golf course has begun. The CDA has allocated Rs 4 crore for the project.

The golf course will have eight holes and top-quality facilities. It will include a reception center, locker room, drinking water facilities, and toilets.

The CDA has planned a separate entry and exit, along with a dedicated parking lot at Biju Patnaik Park.

Authorities also plan to improve the landscaping, add more greenery, and install an advanced underground sprinkler system.

It is worth noting that Biju Patnaik Park was recently renovated, with the Housing and Urban Development (H&UD) department spending around Rs 26 crore on the project.
