​​​​​​​Keonjhar, Oct 30: In a tragic incident, a 50-year-old man was killed and two others were injured after a swarm of bees attacked them in Champua area of Odisha’s Keonjhar district.

The deceased has been identified as Nirash Munda and the incident has been reported from Ramchandrapur village under Champua police limits in the district.

As per reports, Munda had gone to graze cattle in the forest with his grandson and a relative when a swarm of bees attacked them. While Munda’s grandson and relative managed to escape, he tripped and fell down.

He was rushed to Champua Sub-Divisional Hospital, where the attending doctors declared him dead. Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.

A pal of gloom descended over the village following the tragic incident.
