Boudh, Aug 15: The fire brigade personnel on Monday morning rescued three engineers who were trapped in the flood water in Mahanadi River since last night in Odisha’s Boudh district.
As per reports, three engineers deployed for the construction of mega project were present in their camp on the Mahanadi River near Tirad village under Kusanga panchayat of Harabhanga block.
Due to heavy downpour last night, they were unable to return to their homes. Thereafter, as the incessant rain continued, the water level of Mahanadi River rose and they were trapped in the flood-like situation.
On getting the information, Charichhak fire officials rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. But due to heavy rain, the operation was halted.
However, as the rain stopped, the fire officials resumed the operation and rescued the trio this morning.
