Balangir, Mar 14: Odia language helped a 30-year-old woman reunite with her family after 20 years. The woman hailing from Nayagarh was allegedly kidnapped 20 years ago. The woman Jhunu Rout is the daughter of Jagannath Rout and Laxmi of Badaputa village under Nayagarh district. Sources said that she was trafficked at the age of 10 years and later sold to one in Tikamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.  She was again sold and forced for child marriage in Agra. Since then, Jhunu has been living near Agra with no connection with her family in Nayagargh. Her parents who had been searching her frantically have also lost hope of meeting her again. Coincidently, Omprakash Sahu of Gandhinagarpada of Balangir who works as a data entry operator at Agra came in contact of Jhunu’s family recently. Jhunu’s son Bikram noticed Omprakash having conversation in Odia and invited his home. During interaction, Jhunu narrated her story and the ordeal she faced so far. Accordingly, Omprakash traced the contact number of Jhunu’s parents and facilitated a video call over phone. Jhunu along with her new family from Agra have come Odisha to spend time with her parents at Badaputa in Nayagarh after 20 years.
