Odia girl stranded in Hyderabad: Granny appeals Jajpur Admn for help

Jajpur, Jan 1: An elderly woman of Odisha’s Jajpur district has appealed to the administration to rescue her granddaughter, who has been stranded in Hyderabad after the death of her parents. The woman has also sought financial assistance from the government for her maintenance. Sources said Basudev Mallik who is a native of Bidapada village under Binjharapur police limit in Jajpur was working with a private farm in Hyderabad. He was staying there at a rental house with his family. {"id":157110,"sizeSlug":"full","linkDestination":"none"} A while ago, Basudev along with his wife Rina and younger daughter Biswashi were electrocuted while the eldest daughter, Subhashree was narrowly escaped. Since then, minor girl Subhashree is remaining all alone in Hyderabad. Following this, Basudev’s elderly mother is in distress as nobody else is there to bring the girl back home and take care of her. Getting no way out, Subhashree’s granny has sought the help of the Jajpur district administration to bring the girl back to Odisha. The locals have also urged the administration to arrange safe stay for the orphaned girl.
