Odia film star Sabyasachi turns savior for 35 migrant labours in Tamil Nadu

Bhubaneswar, May 19: Ollywood actor Sabyasachi Mishra turned savior for 35 Odia labourers who were being tortured by the master in Tamil Nadu. Mishra has managed to shift them to a safer place and made food and other essential arrangements for the victims. Sources said as many as 35 migrant labourers from Bhadrak were being tortured in Tamil Nadu amid the lockdown. The master was cruelly punishing them without any food and water. A video featuring the incident went viral on social media. Being informed about it, Sabyasachi managed to trace the phone number of a victim and enquired about it. Subsequently, he took the help of Odisha Police, Labour Commissioner and Tamil Nadu police to rescue the detained labourers. Meanwhile,Tamilnadu police arrested the errant master and released the victims. Sabyasachi shifted them to a safer place. Ultimately, he engaged a member of ‘Smile Force’ Bibhuti Bisoi and a social activist Navin Bhandari to take care of them. All arrangements are being carried to bring them back to Odisha very shortly, said Sabyasachi.
