Normal life affected in Odisha as Congress observes 6-hour bandh

Bhubaneswar, Feb 15: Normal life was completely paralysed in Odisha as Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) observed a protesting against hike in fuel prices on Monday morning. The Congress state unit is observing a 6-hour state-wide bandh today from 7 am to 1 pm in protest against the consistent rise in prices of fuel and domestic gas, said PCC president Niranjan Patnaik. {"id":97816,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} However, all emergency services have remained unaffected in the state. Buses, private cars and other public transport vehicles kept off the road following picketing by Congress workers on national and state highways. Similarly, train services were hit as Congress workers squatted on railway tracks at different places. There was no report of any violence from districts.
