No to survey: Locals detain administrative officers in Jagatsingpur

Jagatsingpur, Aug 18: Locals have detained administrative officers over land survey in Dhinkia village in Jagatsinghpur district on Wednesday. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP),Block Development Officer(BDO) and Tehsildar have been detained by villagers of Dhinkia. Sources said, a team of officials had been to the village for a survey related to the conversion of land. Reacting on it, locals detained the ASP Nimai Charan Sethi, BDO Kailash Behera and Tehsildar Pragnyananda Das along with their official vehicles. Being informed, police rushed to the spot in order to pacify the matter. Later, two platoons of armed police are deployed in the village to prevent law and order situation in the locality.
