No RTPCR certificate, Covid vaccination report needed for darshan in Puri Jagannath temple

Puri, Feb 17: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) today issued a fresh standard operating procedure (SOP) for darshan of deities. The SOP will come into effect from February 21. The devotees are no longer required to produce the documents like final certificate for Covid-19 vaccination and Covid-19 negative certificate (RTPCR) for darshan. However, there would be strict enforcement, for ensuring Covid appropriate behavior by all concerned As per the fresh SOP the temple will remain open on all days of the week except Sundays. The public darshan of lords will take place between 6AM and 9PM. “A priority queue will be made operational for Senior citizen devotees and others; who are visiting temple for darshan of Lords. A separate detailed order will be issued in this regard by SJTA,” read the SOP.
