Bhubaneswar, Mar 25: No Odisha govt doctors are working abroad for better salary absconding from their job, said Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das.
The state government has initiated stringent action against the absentee doctors of government-run hospitals, but no one has been found working in abroad being in service with Odisha government, Das told Assembly responding to a question raised by Congress MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati.
Needful action would be taken if the department finds any defaulting doctors who are working abroad without formal notice to the health department, he added.
