Udala, Aug 30: People don’t seem to be bothering about Covid-19 protocols even as the second coronavirus wave brings death and misery across the country.
At a Meena Bazar organised in Udala, people could be seen openly flouting social distancing and mask norms amid the raging pandemic. At a time when the frontline workers are working relentlessly to contain the spread of the virus, social distancing norms are mocked at Meena Bazar. Buyers could also be seen roaming in the Meena Bazar without masks.
State has started to ease restrictions to resume economic activities and people’s movement. Despite authorities urging the public to continue following protocols like masking and spacing with the threat of a third wave looming large, people seem to have learnt no lessons. This, despite the second wave of the pandemic having infected and killed a record number of people.
