Nilgiri College students on dharna at Sub-Collector’s office

Bhubaneswar: NSEY students of the Nilgiri College in Balasore district have been sitting on a dharna at the Sub-Collector’s office at Nilgiri since last night in protest against closure of the college for an indefinite period. On Monday, the college was declared closed sine die after tension erupted in the college following explosion of crude bombs in the campus. The bombs were hurled into the boys’ common room damaging the window panes and furniture of the room. However, no student was hurt. The agitating students have demanded that sine die be lifted soon and students’ union election held in the college this year.
