Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday predicted that the night temperature may dip further by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius across the state.

The night temperature in Daringbadi was recorded 8 degrees Celsius on Sunday, which dipped to 7 degrees Celsius on Monday.

Titilagarh recorded 3.2 degrees Celsius and Bhubaneswar recorded 1.6 degrees less than the normal temperature.

Night temperature dipped at several places in the state, which may continue on Tuesday also.

However, the meteorological department predicted the cold wave may reduce from January 5 or 6.

It also predicted fog may engulf South-Internal Odisha, Gajapati, and Ganjam areas.

The temperature may go up by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius in Northern-coastal areas and 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in Southern-coastal areas, said Meteorological expert Prof. Surendranath Pasupalak.

Several places across Odisha are likely to experience slight rainfall on January 10 and 11, he predicted.
