Bhubaneswar, Jan 19: Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra on Wednesday appealed to the people to follow Covid appropriate behaviour stating that the next few days are crucial for Odisha in terms of Covid management. The Chief Secretary, however, said compared to previous Covid-19 waves, hospitalization and ICU requirement is lower in the third wave. He urged the people not to be scared and follow Covid19 guidelines. “We must avoid crowds and use masks mandatorily and properly while going out,” he added. “Only 10% hospital beds are occupied, but that does not warrant any form of laxity. Odisha is reporting 10,000+ cases over the last 7 days. The numbers will go up if we do not adhere to COVID appropriate behaviour,” the Chief Secretary said.
