Bhubaneswar, August 16: A fresh new pairing is set to make waves in Odia cinema with Ashok Pati’s upcoming film “Ladhei”. The film marks the debut of Lohitakshya as a lead actor and introduces Abhilipsa to the silver screen. While Lohitakshya is already familiar to audiences as a successful child artist, “Ladhei” will be his first outing in a lead role. Abhilipsa, meanwhile, steps into acting for the very first time.
Sources from the production team reveal that both actors, being close in age, have developed a strong rapport on set, often supporting each other through the filming process. Director Ashok Pati believes that their off-screen camaraderie will reflect naturally on screen and enhance their performances.
Presented by D.S.R. Enterprises and produced by Debashis Pattnaik, “Ladhei” features a story, screenplay, and dialogues penned by Bharadwaj Panda. The music is composed by Gaurav Anand and Somesh Satapathy, with cinematography by Kuldeep.
The supporting cast includes notable names such as Preetiranjan, KK, Bibhas, Udit Guru, Somesh, Madhu, Smita Choudhury, Rajalaxmi Dakua, Rajalaxmi Mahapatra, and Ashok Pattnaik himself.
Industry insiders have already begun drawing comparisons between Lohitakshya-Abhilipsa and the successful Bollywood debut duo Ahaan Pandey and Anaita Poddar from the film “Saiyara”. With similar expectations building up, “Ladhei” is being tipped as a potential crowd-puller among Odia audiences.
The film is currently in production and is expected to hit theatres soon.
