Mumbai, Nov 23: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has reportedly busted yet another drug racket that was being run in the Nanded district of Maharashtra on Tuesday. According to a source, acting on a tipoff, an NCB team led by the Mumbai’s NCB Zonal director, Sameer Wankhede conducted the raid in Nanded. During the raid, the NCB team seized as much as 1.4 kg of opium and 222 kg of poppy straw and arrested three persons in this link. The team had also recovered a sum of Rs 1.55 lakhs and a grinding machine during the raid. NCB chief Sameer Wankhede said that he got a tipoff about the drug racket from his source on Monday after which he decided to conduct a raid on it. “This was the 99th case of raid over drug rackets in the current year” Wankhede added.
