Bhubaneswar, Jan 17: Ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Sunday hit out at Opposition BJP and said that the Orissa High Court is satisfied with the SIT probe and the saffron party is doing chef politics over the Nayagarh minor girl murder case.
While responding to BJP’s allegations, BJD spokesperson Lenin Mohanty said, “The SIT is regularly appraising court about the progress of the case. The HC is satisfied with the probe. However, BJP is doing cheap politics.”
Earlier, BJP leader Lekhashree Samantsinghar accused the state government of lying about the HC-monitored SIT probe into the Nayagarh minor girl murder case.
She also demanded breach of privilege notice against the Odisha government for allegedly lying in the Assembly that SIT probe is High Court-monitored.
Besides, she demanded defamation case against the state Director General of Police (DGP).
