Nayagarh/ Bhubaneswar, Dec 5: Two separate teams of opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress today visited Jadupur in Nayagarh and held discussions with victim’s parents and locals.
Both the parties also assured the victim’s family to continue their fight till justice is delivered to the five-year-old girl.
Today, a team led by BJP leader Sambit Patra visited Jadupur and also staged protest in front of Nayagarh district collector’s office demanding justice for Pari.
Similarly, a Congress delegation went to Jadupur village led by AICC in charge for Odisha Dr Chela Kumar and AICC sectary Rudra Raju to meet Pari’s parents.
“We are committed to fighting until she gets justice,” said president of Odisha Congress Niranjan Patnaik.
Pari’s parents alleged that the police so far has not arrested anyone though the body of their daughter was found in July. They also accused Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo of shielding the accused.
Last week, both opposition BJP and Congress had created a furore inside the assembly demanding justice for the minor girl.
