Bhubaneswar, Oct 3: Navratri has begun, and the excitement for Dandiya is palpable in the capital of Odisha! The Seva Prayas Foundation is set to host the Dandiya Mahotsav—‘Kalinga Garba Raas’—from October 9 to 12 at Janata Maidan.
This vibrant four-day festival will showcase skilled dancers performing Dandiya, complemented by cutting-edge LED decorations and top-notch live bands. Attendees can also indulge in a wide array of food and beverage stalls, enjoy game booths, receive gifts, and find dedicated seating areas for both children and adults.
Lincoln Subuddhi, the organisation's founder, shared that they have been dedicated to social work for the past 11 years, focusing on issues such as preventing child marriage and promoting traffic volunteering. She noted that they have also organized women’s car rallies on various themes. Importantly, this year’s Dandiya event aims not at profit, but to raise funds for the educational expenses of underprivileged children.
Adding to the festivities, a female DJ will headline this year's celebration, promising lively music for all. Everyone from different backgrounds is encouraged to join in. The Dandiya Raas will feature performances by vocal artists and actors, making it an unforgettable experience!
