Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is most eligible to become the Prime Minister of the country, claimed party vice-president Surjya Narayan Patro here today.
“People in the country and Odisha want to see Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as the Prime Minister of India. He is most eligible person to become the Prime Minister,” Patro told reporters here.
On BJD’s equidistance policy, Patro said BJD will no longer adopt the equidistance policy and extend support to whoever works for Odisha’s interest at the Centre.
Lok Sabha election results will be declared on May 23. Meanwhile, both the NDA and UPA leaders are trying to get him into their camp. Odisha has 21 Lok Sabha segments and the party won 20 parliamentary constituencies in 2014 elections.
