Naveen keeps his word: Enhances Women’s Health Insurance coverage to Rs 10 lakh

Malkangiri, Aug 20: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik kept up his promise. Emphasizing the request of a primitive tribal girl Mamata Podiami three years ago, he declared a sum of Rs 10 lakh for health insurance of women. Mamata, a girl of Kalimela suburb in Malkangiri district had got the opportunity to talk to Naveen through video conference. At the roll-out ceremony of ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’, a flagship programme for integrated rural development in 2018,Mamata had appealed Naveen to enhance the health insurance package for women to Rs 10 lakh. Naveen today during his visit to Malkangiri launched the reconstituted Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojna with the revised sum assured for women. He also felicitated Mamata Podiami on the dais for her meaningful approach.
