Naveen announces modern bus terminal at Cuttack to be named after Netaji

Cuttack, Jan 13: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced a modern bus terminal at Khannagar in Cuttack at an estimated cost of Rs 65 crore. The terminal will be named after revolutionary leader Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Patnaik said that a special kiosk will be set up at the terminal to aware people about the life and struggle of Bose. Various motif and paintings of the leader will also be kept there. 125th birth anniversary of Bose will be celebrated on January 23. The modern terminal which will be built at an area of 12 acres will have various modern facilities including ticketing and information centre, waiting area, eateries, food court, cloak room, rest rooms and facilities for drivers and bus staff. The proposed bus terminal will have facility for parking of as many as 180 buses while area of around 2 acres adjoining the proposed terminal will be reserved for development of commercial complex on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
