Jagatsinghpur, Oct 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided financial assistance to the tune of Rs 708.32 crore during Covid-19 pandemic to Jagatsinghpur district only, said Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan during by-election campaign for Tirtol assembly constituency today. Pradhan today visited various areas of the constituency which will go into by-poll on November 3 and urged people to vote for BJP. “ Narendra Modi government has spent Rs 57,767.43 crore for development of Jagatsinghpur district. Voters are also aware of the developmental works undertaken by the Modi government in rural areas including Tirtol and we are hopeful that voters will vote for BJP candidate,” said Pradhan. Pradhan also came down heavily on the ruling BJD and accused the party of hindering the progress of Tirtol. “Large scale corruption by the BJD has hindered development of Tirtol. Basic amenities such as road connectivity, drinking water and lack of adequate teachers and doctors have become a regular affair. I am sure than people of Tirtol will give a befitting reply to the BJD in the by-poll,” added Pradhan.
