Bhubaneswar, June 11: The authorities of Nandankanan Zoological Park have announced that both the zoological and botanical parks will remain open to visitors on June 15 on the occasion of Raja Sankranti.

According to the revised schedule, the parks will remain closed on June 16 instead of their regular weekly closure on Monday.

Normally, both the zoological and botanical parks remain closed every Monday. However, the authorities keep the parks open when a major public holiday falls on a Monday. As Raja Sankranti coincides with Monday this year, visitors will be allowed entry to both parks on June 15.

The announcement has been made to facilitate tourists and visitors planning to celebrate the Raja festival at Nandankanan. Authorities have advised visitors to plan their trips accordingly, keeping in mind the revised closure schedule.
