Bhubaneswar, Ap 1: Nandankanan Zoological Park and Botanical Garden reached a historic milestone, recording the highest-ever number of visitors and revenue in its history in the financial year 2025-26. A total of 39,76,615 people visited the park, generating an impressive ₹26.31 crore in revenue.
Of the total visitors, 37,96,341 explored the zoological park, while 1,80,274 visited the botanical garden. The visitors included 33,48,933 adults, 6,26,646 children, and 1,036 foreign nationals. The revenue generated from entry tickets, parking, and camera fees amounted to ₹16.27 crore.
In addition, services like battery-operated vehicles, safari rides, children’s trains, boat rides, and ropeway rides contributed ₹9.81 crore to the total revenue. Furthermore, ₹23 lakh was earned from animal feed sales, bringing the overall revenue to ₹26.31 crore.
This remarkable achievement underscores Nandankanan’s status as a premier tourist destination, attracting both domestic and international visitors in large numbers.
