NABARD organizes state level workshop on govt of India credit linked subsidy schemes

Bhubaneswar, Sep 29: NABARD Odisha RO organized State Level Workshop on Agri Clinics and Agri Business Centre, Agri Infrastructure Fund and Agri marketing Infrastructure scheme on 28th September 2022, at Hotel Swosti Premium, Bhubaneswar. The workshop was jointly inaugurated by C. Udayabhaskar, Chief General Manager, NABARD,  S P Mishra, Joint Director of Horticulture, Government of Odisha, Gautam Patra, Convenor SLBC. Senior Officials from Line Departments, Banks, Entrepreneurs, DMI participated in the meeting. On behalf of NABARD S/Shri B B Sahoo, GM, S R Panda, DGM joined the meeting.  Shri C. Udayabhaskar, CGM while inaugurating the workshop advised for creation of more awareness among all stakeholders through SMS, awareness literature and review of these schemes regularly in SLBC, DCC and BLBC etc. He stressed on convergence with Agricultural universities in Odisha, MANAGE and Government Departments and a tripartite memorandum of understanding between SLBC, MANAGE and NABARD to enhance AC & ABC in Odisha. He suggested making literature on schemes to be made available in Odia language. He also suggested for a live Youtube session by experts in Odia language to be held in upcoming weeks to enhance the reach of these schemes to bankers at branch level and entrepreneurs. Guests opined that through the development of various agri infrastructures, especially at the post-harvest stage, the produce can be optimally utilized with opportunity for value addition and fair deal for farmers and increasing their income and all bankers and Line Departments to work hard to promote these schemes amongst the farmers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders, so that maximum benefit can be derived. A IEC material on vernacular language on AIF was released during the Occasion.
