Mother begs financial aid for ECMO care of son in Nayagarh

Nayagarh, June 13: A Nayagrh based mother cries for help to save his 33 year son’s life from Corona who is struggling with the virus in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. She appeals the government to provide him essential ECMO care that is the only way out to save the young son. While,the poor wife appeals volunteers, friends and her relatives to provide financial assistance for the higher treatment of her husband. Sources said, Amulya Parida who works as a computer technician of Baramasi Danda village under Nayagarh district is undergoing treatment in a private Covid hospital after tested positive. However, the virus has almost damaged his liver. Three essential surgeries are already over with Amulya to save his life. Despite, he is now struggling with the disease from the ventilator. The treating doctors prescribe immediate ECMO care in order to save the life. However, it’s beyond the capacity of the family which costs around Rupees two crore. Even the expensive airlifting is out of reach for Amulya’s father, who is a retired police man. As a result, the mother is crying for help to save her son’s life. Finding no ways out, Amulay’s mother and her newlywed spouse are begging financial aid from the government, charitable trusts and the common men to extend their helping hands so that their kith will get back home.
