More than 23000 boats brought back to shore for Cyclone Asani

Bhubaneswar, May 8: All the fishing boats from sea as well as Chilika have been brought to the shore on Sunday ahead of Cyclone Asani.
Carrying out the directives of the Special Relief Commision(SRC), the district administrations of Puri, Balasore,Bhadrak,Jajpur, Jagatsingpur,Kendrapara, Khordha and Ganjam have ensured the return of as many as 23, 403 fishing boats to the shore. The boats have been berthed at their respective bases in view of Cyclone Asani.
Besides, fishermen have also been asked not to venture into the sea till the cyclone passes.
