New Delhi, Sep 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit the United States in the last week of September and meet US President Joe Biden.
This will be the first visit of the Prime Minister to the United States since Joe Biden assumed office in the country in January this year.
However, there is no official confirmation on the possible visit.
This will be Modi’s first in-person meeting with Biden. The two have met virtually on at least three occasions — the Quad summit in March, the climate change summit in April, and the G-7 summit in June this year.
Modi and Biden are likely to discuss on Afghanistan situation during the meeting.
Modi last visited the US in September 2019, when then US President Donald Trump had addressed the Howdy Modi event.
