Mob blocks road demanding arrest of abductors in Hindol

Hindol, Feb 19: Angry mob has blocked Hindol-Gudiakateni main road at Banamalipur demanding arrest of the abductor of Kanha Behera. Sources said, three unknown abductors made a bid to abduct Kanha behera a native of Banmalipur under Hindol NAC. They intoxicated Kanha with food to shape the bid fulfilled. However, some locals rescued Kanha in an unconscious condition near Banamalipur. Following, the rescuer got Kanha treated in Hindol Primary Health Centre. Condition becoming severe, he was shifted to district headquarters hospital, Angul with an information to Hindol Police. However, police did not respond to it rather misbehaved the informers. Irate over the incident, a mob of locals started blocking Hindol-Gudiakateni main road disrupting vehicular movement. They demanded action against the errant police officer and arrest of the alleged abductors. Police have kept a vigil anticipating any untoward situation.
