Jajpur, Sept 9: An MBBS student of MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, who had been missing since August 31, has been traced, bringing relief to his family.
The student has been identified as Sagar Swarup Sahu, son of Rabindra Sahu of Kapali village under Kuakhia police station in Jajpur district.
According to reports, Sagar had gone missing from near the gate of his examination centre in Berhampur without appearing for his examination. Following his disappearance, his family initially lodged a complaint with the Berhampur police and later approached the Kuakhia police station.
The Kuakhia police subsequently launched an investigation to trace the missing student.
After nearly eight days, police received information about Sagar's whereabouts. He was reportedly traced by police in Kirings police station area of Rairangpur.
A team from Kuakhia police, along with Sagar's family members, has reportedly left to bring him back.
