Missing man’s body recovered from drain in Kendrapara

Kendrapara, Oct 29: Kendrapara police has recovered a man’s body from a drain on Friday, who had gone missing from October 12 from Chhanaka village. The deceased has been identified as Biswaranjan Mohanty. Sources said, Biswaranjan had gone missing since last 17 days. Meanwhile, his decomposed body was spotted by the locals in the drain under a bridge on Thursday. Being informed, Sadar Police rushed to the spot and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent to the hospital for postmortem after a primary inquest. On the other hand, Biswa’s family members have alleged that, Biswa’s wife Pragyan has murdered him with the help of her paternal family. An UD Case has been registered in this connection. Further investigation is underway, said police.
