Misconduct of Biridi BDO: Collector to initiate action

Jagatsinghpur, April 20: Jagatsinghpur district Collector has assured to initiate action against the Biridi BDO for his misconduct to the SHG women and journalists. While discussing with the Jagatsinghpur District Journalists’ Association on Wednesday Collector, Parul Patawari assured to recommend disciplinary action against the offending officer. Sources said Biridi BDO, Hemant Kumar Mohanta nor any staff of the block office allegedly not officiating in time. As a result, beneficiaries are facing immense problems in their work. Meanwhile, a woman SHG group met the BDO for some works related to their organization. However, the BDO did not cooperate with them and misbehaved with the women members on the spot. At the same time, the BDO also misbehaved with a few journalists present there, after they intervened in it. Following this, the women lodged a complaint with the Biridi police against the BDO. Aggrieved on silence of the Police and the district administration, district Journalists’ Association was staging a dharna before the district office from Monday. The Collector discussed with the journalists today and assured to send the memorandum to the government for needful action against the officer. Besides, she asserted to warn the officer personally, regarding his official conduct.
