Dhenkanal, Nov 19: In a tragic incident, a minor boy was swept while taking a holy dip in the Brahmani River on the occasion of Kartik Purnima, on Friday. The 14-year boy went missing in the water after the mishap, said sources. The missing one has been identified as Roshan Nayak, son of Bidyadhar Nayak of Latabil Sahi in Bhuban Notified Area Council (NAC). According to locals, Rosan floated his paper boats in the river and entered into the stream for a sacred dip. However, he was carried away by the strong current of water. Being informed, fire officials reached the spot and launched a rescue operation to trace the minor boy. No clue regarding Roshan has been collected so far, said a fire official.
