The minor’s body was taken to his native village last evening where his family members and villagers blocked Sindhiguda Road by placing the body in the middle of the road demanding Rs 20 lakh compensation. Several vehicles were stranded on both sides of the road due to the road blockade. Thereafter this morning, the Additional District Collector, Additional Superintendent of Police, and other senior local officials arrived in the village with the police force to take control of the situation. The villagers took the minor’s body and conducted his last rites after receiving compensation from the owner of the vehicle, as well as a promise from the administration for financial assistance from the Red Cross Fund.
