Bhubaneswar, May 23: After 18 days battling with Covid-19, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, Law, Housing & Urban Development Minister, Pratap Jena has recovered and has been discharged from the hospital today. The minister took twitter to share this information where he tweeted “With the the blessings of Lord Jagannath and the wishes of the people of Odisha, I have returned home after treatment of Covid 19 today. I express my gratitude to the people of Mahanga constituency and Lord Jagannath for my speedy recovery.” In addition to that, Jena also expressed his gratitude to Manoj Nayak, founder of SUM Hospital, Dr. Pradeep Patra and all the staff of the hospital for his recovery, saying that “SUM Hospital plays an important role in providing better healthcare to the people of Odisha.” Further, the Minister extended his sincere gratitude to the Governor, Ganeshi Lal, for his greetings and the Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik for his concern. Senior IAS officer and Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), Pradeep Jena also thanked SUM Hospital for Covid treatment. “After 10 days of hospitalisation and effective treatment in SUM hospital by Dr Pradeep Patra and able nursing support of Soumya and team I have been discharged last Monday 17thMay. Thanks to SUM Hospital and their treating team I’m able to work 24*7 for cyclone preparedness now," read a tweet of the SRC. He also said that timely testing, medication and diet support also helped him in early recovery without any complications. "My wife and mother who were also hospitalised got good treatment support and successfully came out of Covid, thanks to dedicated work of doctors and nursing team at SUM hospital. Passionate team of doctors and nurses and their keen interest for effective treatment to patients have earned good wishes for this hospital and their doctors, nurses and staff.,” tweeted the bureaucrat.
