Members of SBI Ladies Club contribute from their ‘Stree Dhan’ for Covid-19

Bhubaneswar, April 28: SBI Ladies Club, under the able leadership of CGM Praveena Kala and Vice President Madhuri Charyulu, is engaged in various charitable activities for upliftment of the economically weaker sections and inculcate values of self-reliance among the beneficiaries. The club has a penchant for extending its helping hand whenever there is a need, and has always responded effectively to crisis situations such as during the cyclonic storm Fani. Covid -19 poses an extraordinary challenge for India – both for controlling its spread and maintaining food security and livelihood. As we all know that “Anna Daan is Mahaadaan” and when it is given to the needy, it becomes one of the noblest things to do. In response to the unprecedented crisis, the members of SBI Ladies Club have contributed profusely from their ‘StreeDhan’ in aid the affected. Under this initiative, over 100 poor people are being fed daily. The Club in association with SBI LHO , distributed ration items to 110 needy families in Narayan Sahi and DehuriSahi, Unit-8 , Bhubaneswar. Club members also sensitised people about social distancing while at the same time distributing masks and sanitisers. The initiative by SBI Ladies Club was profusely appreciated by different citizen groups of Bhubaneswar.
