Bhubaneswar, Aug 3: A theft was reported at a medicine store in Balakati Market on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, where a miscreant allegedly stole a box containing medicines worth around ₹45,000. The entire incident was captured on the shop's CCTV camera.

According to the shop owner, the accused was seen loitering around the area for several minutes before lifting a medicine carton kept outside the store and fleeing from the spot.

The theft came to light after the CCTV footage was reviewed. The shop owner subsequently lodged a complaint at the Balakati Police Outpost, seeking immediate action against the accused.

Police have begun an investigation and are examining the CCTV footage to identify and trace the suspect. Further inquiry into the incident is underway.
