Bhubaneswar, April 1: Eight places in Odisha recorded maximum temperature over 40°C on Monday. Boudh, Nayagarh, Titlagarh, Bhawanipatna, Talcher, Bolangir recorded 40°C while Jharsuguda and Baripada recorded 40.4°C.
The maximum temperature was recorded 39.4 °C in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
Maximum temperature (Day Temperature) is very likely to rise further by 2°C over the districts of Odisha during next two days & no large change thereafter, said the regional Met office.
Consequently maximum temperature is very likely to be 40°C or more at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha during next four to five days, it added.
Minimum temperature (night temperature) is likely to gradually rise by 2-3°C during next two-three days at many places over the districts of Odisha and no large change thereafter.
