Baripada, Jan 10: A massive fire broke out at an electric vehicle (EV) showroom in Baripada city late on Friday night, causing extensive damage and destroying more than 32 battery-operated vehicles. The incident occurred at the Kinetic Green showroom located in the Dargadahahi area at around 2:00 am.

On receiving information, two fire service teams rushed to the spot and battled the blaze for nearly two hours before bringing it under control. The fire reduced property worth over ₹60 lakh to ashes. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.

Preliminary investigation suggests that a short circuit may have triggered the fire. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the incident.
