
Bhubaneswar, Oct 22: A massive fire broke out in the Unit-I vegetable market area of Bhubaneswar on Wednesday afternoon, destroying approximately 15 to 20 shops.
Thick plumes of smoke and intense flames quickly spread through the market, triggering panic among vendors and nearby residents.
Responding swiftly to the emergency, authorities deployed 11 fire tenders to the scene. Firefighters battled the blaze for several hours in a sustained effort to bring it under control.
Thankfully, no casualties have been reported. However, the damage to property is believed to be extensive.
The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is currently underway to determine what sparked the incident.
