Massive crowd at bus stands as migrants rush home after lockdown in Delhi

New Delhi, April 20: A day after Delhi government imposed a week-long lockdown from 10 pm on Monday, bus stations witnessed massive crowd to return their natives. Over 5,000 people gathered at Anand Vihar bus stand this morning to flee the national capital and return to their hometowns. {"id":108795,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} After the sudden announcement of the lockdown, thousands of migrant workers thronged the ISBT Anand Vihar area despite Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s assurance that the government will take full care of them. {"id":108796,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} We are feared that the lockdown could be extended like previous year as the Covid-19 situation is deteriorating day by day, said a man in his earlier 40’s was waiting to board a bus to Bihar. {"id":108797,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} I wanted to go to home as there was a possibility of a lockdown extension, said a migrant worker on his way to bus stand.
