Anandapur, May 1: The mortal remains of martyr soldier Ajay Kumar Soren reached in Anandapur today, where locals gathered at the Anandapur police station premises, chanting slogans in honor of the fallen hero. The entire area resonated with cries of “Martyr Ajay Kumar will live forever.”
Ajay hailed from Putujhari village in the Gayalmunda Panchayat under Anandapur police jurisdiction. He had been serving with the BSF’s 91st Battalion in Kolkata.
On the 23rd of last month, while deployed in security duty during the West Bengal elections in Bankura district, Ajay suddenly suffered a brain stroke. Despite receiving medical treatment, he succumbed to his condition yesterday.
Today, his body was brought back to his native village for the final rites, where family, friends, and locals paid their last respects to the brave soldier.
