Bhubaneswar: After a brief lull, Maoists kille a security guard and burnt a contractor’s camp in Kandhamal district, protesting construction of a road last night.
The deceased was identified as Rabindra Mallick. He was working as a security guard at the contractor’s camp. Maoists allegedly killed him suspecting him as a police informer.
The Red rebels reportedly set two tractors, a van, a mixture machine and other construction equipments on fire.
They have opposed construction of Phulbani Tikirapada- Patiamba road according to reports.
Police have reached the spot and started investigation.
