Nabrangpur, Aug 31: Maoists have released posters protesting the construction of a dam over the Tel river in Raighar block in Nabrangpur district on Tuesday.

Hundreds of posters were found containing the name of Udanti red-division in the Raighar block area.

The posters opposed the construction of a dam over Tel river.

The government has approved the proposal monotonically without considering the displacement issues of over 10 thousand people of 60 affected villages. The division will stage a revolt against the proposal if it’s not duly approved in the grama sabha and pallisabha, the poster read.
