Malkangiri, Mar 14: Security personnel have resorted to a gunfight with red rebels in Swabhiman Anchal, formerly known as cut-off area of Malkangiri district.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of SOG and DVF launched a combing operation in Pipalapadar jungle. However, Maoists opened fire at security personnel and they retaliated.

A huge cache of Maoist materials and explosive shave been seized by the security force. They are conducting a search operation in the jungle.
