Imphal (Manipur) November 16 : Tensions escalated in Manipur as protesters stormed the residences of two ministers and three MLAs in Imphal on Saturday, demanding justice for the recent murder of three individuals in Jiribam district, police confirmed.

The mob attacks on the houses of legislators led the Imphal West District administration to impose an indefinite curfew to curb the unrest.

An order issued by Imphal West District Magistrate Th Kirankumar stated that the curfew was enforced starting at 4:30 PM on Saturday. The situation remains tense as authorities seek to restore normalcy.
