Managers required in courts to expedite hearing: CJI

Cuttack: Chief Justice of India Justice Dipak Mishra today stressed on the appointment of Court managers to speed up trial of cases in all courts. "I emphasised on the appointment of managers in court. The MBA degree holders should be appointed as the manager. I also focused on building the skill of judicial officers. I have divided the skill into two parts- one is institutional skill and another is individual skill. When both skills would improve, the judiciary will automatically improve," Mishra told reporters after addressing a National Seminar at Cuttack on Enhancing Judicial Skill for Expeditious Disposal & Trial of Cases including Special Act cases, Protection of Witnesses & ...Timely Justice to the litigants. Representatives of 18 High Courts attended the seminar which is being organised every year in Cuttack. Discussion was held how to improve the skill of judicial officers so that the trial of cases could be speeded up, he added. Misra attended the concluding day two-day seminar organized at Odisha Judicial Academy in Cuttack as chief guest.
