Bhanjanagar, April 1: Police has detained a man for allegedly strangulating his wife to death in Ganjam district.

The incident took place at Sorishabili village under Sorada police limits late last night.

According to reports, the couple were fighting regularly over family dispute.  Last night Dharindra Swain had a quarrel with his wife Rinki Swain.

Dharindra lost his cool and pressed the throat of Rinki till she breathed her last.

Police reached the spot being informed about the incident and took the accused into custody sending the body for post-mortem.
